olfactory excrement.

Dear dad,

I get it that its your birthday and you call the shots today, just please do not make me watch the HBO Rock n Roll hall of fame special again. Five times is more than enough, and no, Jeff beck's rendition of A Day in A Life is not as epic as you think it is. It gives me severe odgeda (however you spell that word), and it's kind of muzak-esque.

Regards,
Your daughter.

I am giving up on Billy Corgan.

I hate to sound like one of those annoying, nostalgia-driven, crotchety turds... but I miss the days of Quiet, Mayonaise and Rhinoceros. Yes, I realize that art cannot be stagnant, and artists must evolve to survive... but my god, why this ?!

Lets redeem this and end on a completely awesome note with a perfect example of evolution done right! :

microwaved raviolis and english breakfast tea

I wish I was drinking

this awesome stuff. It tastes like camp-firery goodness only paralelled by vintage Kinks beats. Speaking of that, I wish Ray and Dave Davies would quit hating eachother long enough to tour. I have a sick obsession with Waterloo Sunset, no matter how cheesy everyone insists it is.

I am obsessed with these awkward looking fish. Their headgrowths are fabulous:

Empathy for the CGI elderly.

I just saw the movie UP and it was beautiful, and this is coming from someone who doesn't have a taste for Pixar and the like. Not going to lie, my brother and I were choking back a few tears. The main character was probably the most endearing old man on screen, EVER.

Time to listen to some of the finest to come out of pdx.

Will town hall consume your soul? The Answer is a resounding YES.

This picture makes everything ok, even though i have the absolutely SAVORY job of walking senior citizens around a building to give them exercise tonight. This should be interesting to say the least.

some things should just NEVER be.

Case and point.
On another less visually disturbing note, I can't wait to paint with watercolors tonight with my partner in crime.

808 Crickets

Yesterday was the best mini vacation I've ever had. Red bank was so alive with people and the weather couldn't have been more beautiful.

Heres something I'm really feeling

These are by Alphonse Mucha, an Artist from the 1860s. I love his work because it was the precursor to 60s pyschedelic art.

Procrastinator.

Jean Michel Basquiat's paintings are my definition of non-linear art. Soooo good. I wish I had the cojones to paint like that, with disregard to proportion and standards.
Now its time to write an essay about Vietnam.. which is already late.
